Quick report for this last week. After a
long 6 months of pretty much doing nothing
but fishing I am on a couple weeks of vacation.
I started it off last week fishing for Chinook
on the Columbia river near Astoria. We launched
out of Chinook and fished herring and number
6 Toman Spinners behind divers and flashers.
We caught a few Chinook and BIG Coho from
Bouy 10 up past the Astoria bridge. This should
stay good for a couple more weeks.
Cowlitz is putting out some very nice Summer
Steelhead in the Blue Creek area and there
are a few Chinook in the river as well. Eggs
fished either behind divers or Side Drifting
will take both Chinook and Steelhead.

Not to often I get in on the action but I
got a couple nice ones this past week.

Mark also scored a big king that Dan thought
worthy of the Tule smell test. Thanks for
a great week off Robert, Dan, Jason and Mark.
